At Trinity your child will engage with scripture and prayer in creative ways that foster a relationship with God and others. On Sunday mornings, we offer the following children’s programming during the service for all children ages 6 weeks-5th grade.
For infants and toddlers aged 6 weeks-3 years old
In the nursery your children will be under the supervision of paid childcare staff. They will play with toys, on the playground, enjoy a snack of cheerios, and hear a short Bible story.
Parent’s Viewing Room
We have a room available to parents who may need a changing table, a comfortable place to nurse, or a space to go during the service. This room has a window into the church, so you can still participate as you care for your little one!
For children 3 years old - 1st grade
Godly Play is a Montessori-based program that helps students engage with scripture through play. “Children have an innate sense of the presence of God. The Godly Play approach helps them to explore their faith through story, to gain religious language and to enhance their spiritual experience through wonder and play.” (From the Godly Play Foundation website) If you would like to see an example of a story you can click here to see Mrs. Angela share the parable of “The Great Pearl.”
Each story ends with an opportunity to respond to the story through art and play.
On Sunday afternoons, our stories are posted on our YouTube channel for those who wish to join us from home.
For 2nd-5th grade students
Godly Study will help equip students to read scripture on their own. Students will practice reading the Bible out loud and will be led in a conversation about what they read. Their time will conclude with a response time of art and/or journaling. We hope that students will grow in a knowledge of God’s love for them through prayer and scripture.
