At Trinity we provide safe and age appropriate environments for children to experience the love of God. At Trinity your child will engage with scripture and prayer in creative ways that foster a relationship with God and others.
Sunday Mornings
On Sunday mornings we offer children’s programming during the service for all children ages 6 weeks-5th grade.
Nursery Care
For infants and toddlers aged 6 weeks-2 years old
In the nursery your children will be under the supervision of paid childcare staff. They will play with toys, on the playground, enjoy a snack of cheerios, and hear a short Bible story. Ready for your first visit? Click the button below to get registered!
Godly Play
For children 3 years old - 1st grade
Godly Play is a Montessori-based program that helps students engage with scripture through play. “Children have an innate sense of the presence of God. The Godly Play approach helps them to explore their faith through story, to gain religious language and to enhance their spiritual experience through wonder and play.” (From the Godly Play Foundation website) If you would like to see an example of a story you can click here to see Mrs. Angela share the parable of “The Great Pearl.”
Each story ends with an opportunity to respond to the story through art and play.
On Sunday afternoons, our stories are posted on our YouTube channel for those who wish to join us from home.
Godly Study
Godly Study will help equip students to read scripture on their own. Students will practice reading the Bible out loud and will be led in a conversation about what they read. Their time will conclude with a response time of art and/or journaling. We hope that students will grow in a knowledge of God’s love for them through prayer and scripture. Students are divided into two groups:
Part 1
2nd-3rd graders
Part 1 will cover the 4 major themes of the Bible--Creation, Fall, Redemption, and Restoration--with an art response.
Part 2
4th-5th graders
Part 2 will focus on Jesus and learning how to articulate the Gospel story. Students will be instructed on how to read the Bible and use the Prayer Book.
Parent’s Viewing Room
We have a room available to parents who may need a changing table, a comfortable place to nurse, or a space to go during the service. This room has a window into the church and sound piped in, so you can still participate as you care for your little one!
Other Programming
We offer children’s programming alongside most of our adult programming, including Alpha and Wednesday night suppers. We offer students preparation for first communion. We also participate in Camp Araminta and have other fun activities and events throughout the year!
